Our story
Accurate Air started in 1974 with David Thompson at the helm as a one man operation providing service and equipment change outs to residential customers. In 1995, David steered the company in a new direction and began to grow the company in commercial applications. Accurate Air has been operating as a full scale commercial HVAC company ever since.
We offer complete mechanical contracting services from engineering and design, HVAC service and installation, sheet metal, refrigeration, and building automation for commercial and industrial applications. We customize and fabricate our own ductwork and fittings.
The company has grown exponentially under David’s leadership and is proud to have developed a strong executive base with an average of 25 years with the company.

Meet our Executive Leadership
Junior Kilpatrick
Director of Operations
Junior began his career at Accurate Air in 1995 as a lead installer and a second generation team member. In his 25 years with the company he has advanced his career to Sheet Metal Department Supervisor and now to his current position as Director of Operations. His many years experience with the company and the knowledge gained over those years have given him the skills needed to lead the company forward. Junior’s professional passion is to lead the company with honesty and dependability.
Junior enjoys fishing, old cars, and building & fixing things. He also enjoys vacationing with his wife.
Brenda Kilpatrick
Operations Manager/Project Manager
Brenda began her career at Accurate Air as an administrative assistant in 2004. In her 15+ years with the company, she has advanced to her current position as Operations Manager and Project Manager. Brenda’s most valuable professional skills are determination and multitasking. She is proficient in multitasking and can be found juggling dozens of different projects or tasks on any given day. Brenda’s biggest professional passions are seeing the company perform well and keeping the employees happy.
Brenda enjoys reading and home remodeling. She likes vacationing to new places and loves spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Todd Long
Service Director
Todd joined the Accurate Air service team in 1997 as a service technician. His 25+ years in the field as a technician and 14 years as a licensed HVAC contractor have given him the experience, knowledge, and creativity to become an expert at serving his team and his customers. With a focus on integrity and reliability, Todd strives to build long term business relationships with his clients.
Todd is a sports fan with a deep love for baseball and can be found on fields all over the mid-south cheering on his favorite player (his youngest son) during baseball season. He also enjoys spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren.
Kevin Scallorn
Estimator & Safety Officer
Kevin began his Accurate Air career as an installation helper in 2002. In his 20 years with the company he advanced to a lead installer and now to Estimator and Safety Officer. The knowledge gained from many years in the field gives him an advantage when providing estimates. One of the best skills he brings to his position is being prepared for anything. He is passionate about providing the most accurate estimate possible.
Kevin enjoys yard work and racing. His favorite pastime is fishing. He is also a supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project
Kevin Kilpatrick
Project Superintendent
Kevin became a second generation team member of Accurate Air in 1995 as an installation helper. Through 25+ years of gaining knowledge and experience, he advanced his career to Project Superintendent. Kevin strives to provide a enjoyable work environment for his team and to make sure jobs are completed in a professional manner.
Kevin likes to hunt, fish, and travel. He also enjoys dirt track racing.
Jimmy New
Project Superintendent
Jimmy began his career at Accurate Air in 2005 as a service technician. He transitioned to the installation department as a lead installer and has advanced his career to Project Superintendent. Jimmy brings years of knowledge and problem solving skills to his position and the team he leads. He strives to make sure that the job is done right the first time.
Jimmy enjoys restoring old cars, baseball, and racing. His favorite thing to do in his downtime is to watch the Braves play.
Brandon Kilpatrick
Service Installation Manager
Brandon is a third generation Accurate Air team member and began his career as an installation helper in 2012. A graduate of Delta Technical College’s HVAC Technician program, he has advanced his career to Service Installation Manager. Having worked in both installation and service, some of his best skills are VRF installation, start up, and controls.
In his spare time, Brandon enjoys camping, boating, and hunting. He has an interest in classic cars and his favorite pastimes are football and racing.
Christie Dean
Accounts Payable/Payroll Clerk
Christie joined the Accurate Air team in 2022. With over 12 years experience in the HVAC industry, she is adept in working in a team environment and prides herself in being flexible and adaptable to change. She brings a wide range of skills to her position and is passionate about helping others achieve success and personal development. Her core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership echo the company’s values and are a definite asset to her position.
Christie enjoys crafting, cooking, baking, and taking photos. Her favorite pastimes include listening to music, shopping, cooking, traveling, and playing games with her boys.
Shane Merritt
Distribution Manager
Shane joined the Accurate Air team in 1997. With over 30 years experience in Memphis and vast knowledge of Memphis HVAC suppliers, he knows how meet the supply needs of the company.
Shane is an avid runner and cyclist. He enjoys Florida Gators and Pittsburgh Steelers football and Memphis Grizzlies basketball. His favorite pastimes are spending time with his wife and grandkids and, of course, running and cycling around Shelby County.
Chris Compton
Sheet Metal Shop Supervisor
Chris joined the Accurate Air team in 2016. His dedication and skills learned in the sheet metal fabrication shop advanced his career to Shop Supervisor in 2022. He believes the best way to improve in your career is to have the drive to want to improve your craft and to ask questions – no matter how small. Seeing smiles on people’s faces when a job is done right is what makes him get up in the morning.
Chris enjoys playing games and spending time with family and friends at cookouts.

Kenny Wilson
Lead Service Technician
Kenny joined the Accurate Air service team in 2016 as a service technician. He brings 35 years experience and knowledge to the service department. His ability to connect with people and dedication are some of the best skills he brings to his position. His friendly nature and ability to teach are invaluable qualities that he leads with on a daily basis.
Drew Long
Service Technician
A second generation Accurate Air team member, Drew joined the company as a service helper in 2014. After graduating the HVAC program at Crowley’s Ridge Technical College, he advanced to the position of service technician. Some of the best skills he brings to the job are dedication and attention to detail. Honesty and a job well done are important to Drew.
Drew enjoys spending time with friends and cheering on his favorite football team. Drew is a supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and KLOVE.
Chet Wilson
Service Technician
Chet is a second generation Accurate Air team member, joining the company as a service helper in 2021. His determination, critical thinking, and problem solving skills advanced him to the position of service technician. Chet’s dedication to getting the job done right is an attribute that is valued with all service team members. He has an unusual skill of being able to break down and repair things without prior knowledge.
Chet enjoys fishing, auto repair, home renovation, and gaming and is interested in old cars. His favorite pastime is completing projects.
Jay New
Service Technician
A second generation Accurate Air team member, Jay joined the service team in 2021. He brings 13 years of experience and knowledge to the service department. Trouble shooting and focus on customer satisfaction are some of his best skills. Jay’s professional passion is to do everything he can to never leave a customer without working HVAC systems.
Jay enjoys deer and coon hunting, but his favorite pastime is spending time with his wife and children.
